Dan Vaillancourt grew up in a house filled with music and students coming and going all day long for music lessons. Following in his father's footsteps, Dan has been teaching private guitar lessons in Midland, MI (and online lessons!) to students of all ages, ranging from children to retirees since 1996.
He has experience instructing one-on-one, groups and also teaching at camps. He is passionate about providing ideas and techniques to build a musical foundation (notation, tablature, theory, improvisation, finger-style, etc) to enable students to pursue their personal musical goals and to have fun while learning to play.
In addition to guitar instruction, Dan is also available for songwriting lessons/coaching, music making events for young children/families, group songwriting workshops, beginner ukulele and more!

(Dan also does minor guitar repairs, modifications and basic set ups. He usually has an a variety of affordable used beginner and intermediate guitars with bags/cases available for sale in various sizes from ¾ sizes for children (or travel), smaller bodied acoustics and full size guitars in Midland, MI. All guitars have been inspected, set up and are ready to play better than new. The priority is to find nice sounding, comfortable guitars for you at a fair price.
